World Communion Sunday
No worship service at our church today. Our congregation will be joining other churches at McKenzie United Church (see below)
This Week at First Church:
- Monday, 7:00 p.m. – Bible Study – week 3 of study using the book: “Women of the Old Testament” – by Zoom
- Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – Men’s Breakfast Group
World Communion Sunday – There will be a combined service today (October 4), at 10:30 a.m., at McKenzie United Church, 85-11 St. N.W. Our church will be joining McKenzie and Trinity United churches and St. Mary’s Anglican church for that service. That means that this week there will be no service in our church.
Prayer Calendars – Copies of the Prayer Calendar for October are ready to be picked up at the back of the sanctuary. Don’t forget your copy!
Our Daily Bread – (in the large-print version) – for October, November and December is available at the back of the sanctuary. Feel free to take one home with you, to use in your daily devotional reading.
Food Bank – Once again we will be collecting food for the Salvation Army Food Bank. Items can be brought to the church each Sunday in October. There is always a need for cold cereal and peanut butter. At the end of October all items will be delivered to the Food Bank.
