Harvest Sunday

Welcome! We extend a warm welcome to our guests, and invite you to sign the guest book at the back of the sanctuary. Everyone is invited to remain for coffee and fellowship, downstairs in the Church Hall, following the service. We thank Margaret Dunn for hosting today.

This Week at First Church:

• Monday – No Bible Study this week – it will resume next week (October 20)
• Saturday – Men’s Breakfast, 9:00 a.m.

Food Bank – Once again we will be collecting food for the Salvation Army Food Bank. The most needed items are cold cereal and peanut butter. Let’s see how much we can collect by Sunday, October 19th!

World Communion Sunday

There will be no service in our church today to enable the congregation to worship with the congregation at McKenzie United Church.

This Week at First Church:

• No worship service at our church for today (see below)
• Monday – Bible Study: Lesson 21 – “The Triumphal Entry”, 7:00 p.m., by Zoom

Coming Up:

• October 22 – Meal-in-a-Bowl
• November 2 – Fall Supper

World Communion Sunday – Our Session received a letter from McKenzie United Church inviting us to join them for World Communion Sunday, on October 5th. The Session accepted the invitation. That means that this week there will be no service in our church to enable the congregation to worship with the congregation at McKenzie United Church.

Prayer Calendars – Copies of the Prayer Calendar for October are ready to be picked up at the back of the sanctuary. Don’t forget your copy!
