Presbyterian World Service & Development – Feb. 1 is “PWS&D Sunday” — the day each year when we highlight the work of PWS&D, the relief and development agency of our national church. Through church partners around the world, PWS&D provides assistance for relief efforts in emergency situations, and also funds longer-term development projects of various kinds, intended to assist people living in poverty, in various ways. A brochure on PWS&D is being distributed this morning. Last year, our congregation gave $1,805 to PWS&D. Donations can be made at any time, either by using your offering envelope, or by making a direct donation online on PWS&D’s website, www.WeRespond.ca, using your credit card. Click on the “Donate” button at the top of the page, and follow the prompts. Because of government regulations, PWS&D receives no financial support from Presbyterians Sharing; those two funds are entirely separate.
